Instead of a May membership meeting, we will be having a cookout and fishing evening with Iron Furnace TU on May 21, 2014 at the Walter Dick Park in Brookville, starting at 6 pm. If you can, bring a dish to pass around. The chapters will provide meat, place settings, and drinks.

After eating, there will be plenty of time to cast a line on the North Fork fly project and share some fishing stories. We hope to see you there!

If you need more information, contact George Kutskel at maksak@comcast.net or 814-771-4022.

Our next membership meeting/picnic will be September 11, 2013 starting 6 pm at the Tannery Dam in DuBois.

Our September membership meeting will be a little different this time. We will be hosting a member guest cookout at the pavilion at the Tannery Dam. The chapter will provide hot dogs and hamburgers along with chips and desert, if you would like to bring a covered dish to pass, please do, but it is not a requirement to attend. I’m asking that everyone try and bring along a guest or a child as we will have some sort of fishing game to be announced before dinner. We will also have a short presentation on the Coldwater Heritage Partnership Grant to assess the upper Sandy Lick above Sabula.

We are going to start at 6 pm so that there is time to enjoy some after dinner fishing and fellowship. Please try and RSVP (so we have enough food) by emailing me at maksak@comcast.net

Also in the current newsletter there is a short article on the un assessed waters program. We are currently collecting data on local streams in Clearfield and Jefferson County to be added to the wild trout list. If you have knowledge of a stream or streams that have wild trout (not just brookies) please plan to attend the October meeting at the community room at Martins Grocery.

Thanks

George Kutskel, President AMCTU
